Deep Pursuit Announcement

We have tried to solve as many problems as possible when incorporating the Shearwater controller into the "Deep Pursuit". It was never meant to be an "all things to all men" product, simply a more reliable one.The "Shearwater" rebreather controller has emerged as one of the most intuitive and reliable controllers ever built. A fact we are proud to state as the "Pursuit" electronics package is the cornerstone of this upgrade.

Custom variants will be available, including a secondary display with full deco.
Remember, our HUD is a completely independant secondary. The addition of a display handset or deco handset would give triple redundancy.

Pricing will be under £2k and production will start as soon as formal testing has been completed. We expect to be taking orders at the NEC where it will be on show for you to see and play with, along side the Cell Checker.

Dont forget to check out the manual we have written at the bottom of this page for the Pursuit. The manual will be subject to changes following the completion of the testing.

Features

� Depth, time and oxygen sensor display
� 180degree rotating display
� Buhlmann algorithm with user configurable gradient factor conservatism
� External battery compartment
� Automatic switch-on by depth and/or pressure
� Automatic ambient light sensing LCD illumination
� High/Low PO2 and Deco violation alarm
� Fully independent HUD with three cell real time and simultaneous PO2 indication
� Imperial and metric displays
� Two set points, each of which can be set between .4 and 1.4
� User definable oxygen content of supply gas
� A menu system that adapts to diving status
� Automatic turn off after 30 minutes on the surface
� Set point is controlled and sensors displayed while in menus
� Any combination of oxygen, nitrogen, and helium
� Open and closed circuit gas list, switchable during a dive
� 5 CC and 5 OC user selectable gases
� Gases can be enabled/disabled, changed and added during a dive
� CNS tracking
� No lockout
� Automatic setpoint switching (configurable)
� Backup battery to allow battery change without losing tissues

As a component, we have to satisfy the parts of EN14143 in relation to its function if it is directly supplied to Europe. All other parts are not applicable.
The formal tests to provide this data for certification will be carried out as soon as possible after we have completed in water evaluations. It is this information that would be sent to the independant certification body for approval.

Development of this upgrade has been ongoing for over a year with the new electronics with our custom software being incorporated only recently.

Download from last week during testing showing setpoint control.
Chart divisions are 0.1 increments, depth was 54m.
Constant depth phase was during heavy workload, porthole to prove it!

Congratulations this looks like a very tempting upgrade solution for existing Inspiration users.

The build quality looks outstanding and I look forward to getting a good look at the NEC.
