Looks nice.

Do you have a pack of cigerettes you can put by it and take a pic for a comparison?

Or something else that's a known size?

I have a VR3 I need to sell and order one of these. As it's just sitting. I use my Old shearwater on my meg. I mean old old shearwater... LOL..

Can I run this new shearwater into the 3 cells already in the meg?
What programs are you running/unlocked on the vr3 and do you want to sell for real ?

Re: Shearwater Pursuit Announcement

I picked up my Pursuit the other day and couldn't be happier. Though the GF model was considered large/bulky by some, it was a great piece of kit. The Pursuit has all of the features of the GF plus a few others and is just as easy to use. I'm dawg-on close to calling it perfect!

Good job Bruce -- and thank you.

Re: Shearwater Pursuit Announcement

Excellent looking product Bruce, not only from the feature list, but physically too. Price is also very attractive.

Q. Are there plans to provide a cable for the new-style KISS kidney, with Fischer connector ?

I shipped the first one of those in July. I haven't heard anything, so I assume everything went ok. It's the same pin out, so it's just a straight through cable.

Bruce

Yeah yeah ... sorry but we go slowly how here in Aus sometimes.

Bruce was kind enough to make me a nice cable with fischers on both end for the Shearwater GF and my new Classic KISS, plugs straight in and replaced the existing deltap displays no probs.

I now have the GF and the Shearwater HUD on the Classic and it is sweet.

Work beautifully, been to busy diving so stop and let everone know. Top marks to Bruce.

Re: Shearwater Pursuit Announcement

when I got my shearwater with the old grey cable the kidney had the cables routed in the same place with the "soon to be realeased" HUD going in on the other side of the scrubber retaining bolt.

I always thought that it was a much cleaner system. I can imagine that it was a production cost thing to use the standard kiss kidney, but I would be interested in replacing it with the "old" style kidney, if I can still get the GF and the HUD on it.

Is that possible bruce?

That's the first time I have seen the new kidney. I didn't know it had changed.

When I ordered my GF I was in two minds about the Fischer connector. I did toy with the idea of asking for an in-line plug-socket arrangement close to the head so that I could still detach the GF but the wire would be hard-wired into the GF and the plug wouldn't be under any strain from arm movement.

Re: Shearwater Pursuit Announcement

Plugs and sockets have no place on or in any SCUBA gear IMO, everything should be hardwired. Too many comprimises to in water safety for convience on the surface in my opinion. (Like shoulder pads and stands and tank netting)

Fortunatly Bruce was happy to hardwire my GF and HUD directly to the kidney, I assume he'll be able to offer the same on the Pursuit.
