| Rebreather World Writer ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Rebreather World forum in your own language? yo As I do speak German, English and Spanish I am in the fortunate position to have ability and access to the English, German and Spanish written forums and internet web pages in general., I have personally found the most recources for my research by amount and in detail at most times in the english language. As I count myself lucky to be able to participate on this forum here and access the web in english I recognize the fact that I do not have to know three languages but one ( English ) in order to find help or knowledge. In my opinion the forum should just stay in English, just for the fact to focus the knowledge, concentrate it and condense it into one resource. I however recognize the fact that there are a lot of very experienced and bright people in other languages who are not able to particpate due to the language barrier. I guess I would vote to please learn english as we live in a global world where hopefully past time barriers such as language, borders, race and skin color disapear as we become one ... and speak english. greetings Matt |

| Blogs Admin / Forum Mod ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Rebreather World forum in your own language? Thanks to everyone for their input. The result looks like a clear NO vote for the idea of having forums in different languages. The focus on English forums will help to prevent a fragmentation of Rebreather World. Great feedback!

| Rebreather diver... Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Rebreather World forum in your own language? Since I am furtunate to be reasonably fluent in several languages besides my native Swedish I must say that I definitively prefer to have the forum in a single language thus being able to check on all the discusison even though the language is not my own. If we start a few (language specific) sub forums and something that is of interest also outside that langauegroup pops up there will be a need of translation back to English anyway. One possible solution could be to appoint (or indicate) specific persons capable to assist (i.e. translate for) those of our members who might find an interesting thread tough to follow. // Åke - from Sweden

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Rebreather World forum in your own language? Personally I don't care in what Language the posts are written. Those interested will be able to read what the text want to say. Other will translate too.... So I don't care when someone writes in his own Language. I am fortunate knowing English and German. This might makes things a bit simpler .Andreas |
