| O2 CCR desired Hey all, I'd like to get me an O2 CCR. Here's what I'd like to see: - dual-hose (not pendulum) - back-mounted, unless there's a chest-mounted one that wouldn't cover up a drysuit inflation valve parked in the typical location - two CLs preferred, but can live with one large one - if it's an IDA-xx, I'd also need a DIN or ANSI (sic?) adapter - not more than USD 1000 |

While the OR has undergone some fairly extensive testing, I'd like to see it develop a solid following with no problems before I'd consider it. Besides, would you agree that simple, proven tech may be a better choice?I should have mentioned this before: I'd prefer a minimalist O2 CCR that would give a two-hour runtime, while still meeting the other requirements I had. 1000 USD is also the very max I'd like to pay; I'd prefer a lower-cost option if it still met the requirements. |

Besides, would you agree that simple, proven tech may be a better choice? Your after an OXYGEN only rebreather and you want it to have a solid following before you buy itI should have mentioned this before: I'd prefer a minimalist O2 CCR that would give a two-hour runtime, while still meeting the other requirements I had. 1000 USD is also the very max I'd like to pay; I'd prefer a lower-cost option if it still met the requirements. ![]() Understand the concept of why you might want that inlight of historical rebreather releases, somehow I think the OR is going to be a little different. If you want a minimalist O2 CCR, then pretty much all that is around that suits are off the shelf are ex-military models. try therebreathersite.nl for sale section. The other option is to make your own, if you google 'FEOR' you will likely get some examples. As above the OR will actually meet all of your requirements straight out of the box, brand new with all test paperwork, including price. I would very much doubt for the price you mentioned you would get anything else other then perhaps a unknown condition russian rig or a used & abused Dolphin. Regards Brad |

Besides, would you agree that simple, proven tech may be a better choice? Then buy an RGU-F/M. You can go to www.nva-militaria.de for a great list spares accessories. modifications tec. And they are great to dive....I should have mentioned this before: I'd prefer a minimalist O2 CCR that would give a two-hour runtime, while still meeting the other requirements I had. 1000 USD is also the very max I'd like to pay; I'd prefer a lower-cost option if it still met the requirements. Be hard to find a pure O2 rig as simple as this one (I have an IDA-64 as well). cheers..... |
