| Wanted: Inspiration Electronics in UK I have recently purchased a second-hand Inspiration with Trimix enabled Hammerhead electronics. As a newly qualified ccr diver I'm finding the electronics far to confusing, so am looking to change to Classic or Vision. Please send a PM if you have either the Classic or Vision electronics for sale. I'm looking for them to be in good working order, preferably with APD servicing history that can be verified. I only need the electronics, not a complete unit. I may consider p/x the Hammerhead electronics or selling them privately Cheers |

| Re: Wanted: Inspiration Electronics in UK This has to be a first asking to switch from a Hammerhead to a classic set of electronics. My advise is to take a step back a moment and give some thought. I have been diving a classic for a few years and appreciate the simplicity and functionality of the electronics. That being said they are not as sophisicated as the Hammerhead as far a deco, HUD and the like. Additionally you will not have to deal with some of the less desired issues with the classic system such as cracks, corroding wires, rusting magnets and the like. As we speak I am waiting for a new Vision package to arrive expected in the next couple of weeks. While waiting for the upgrade and a loaner head I have been using a Hammerhead that a friend was kind enough to lend me so I did not miss dives. I found the Hammerhead pretty straightforward in setting up and using. To be sure it is more complicated then a classic but not as bad as a good number of Deco packages once you get the button sequence down. My suggestion is to take a deep breath and give your decision some more thought. You have in your hands likely the top aftermarket package available. Kevin J. is as about a good a person to deal with as you will find. If you have specific questions do not hesitate to send him an email or give him a call. He will certainly not hesitate to give you the answers you require. At this point the only electronics package that you should even remotely be considering is the Vision and it is unlikely that you will be finding many of them at any kind of steep discount on the market. If you want a classic head as a backup then that is understandable but trading in what you have might eventually turn out to be a fools quest. |

| Re: Wanted: Inspiration Electronics in UK If you have a classic be aware that the Vision head will not fit the Classic scrubber ,nor the other way round .

| Re: Wanted: Inspiration Electronics in UK If you do not have a manual let me know and I can hook you up with one. The HH electronics are really quite simple once you have all your gases loaded. As a new user I can understand that trying to figure out all the menu's and options is alittle overwhelming. However, on a dive you are really doing the same things over and over again. Changing between the desired PO2 set pt on the primary (top control the solenoid), changing the PO2 set point on the secondary(to tell the DIVA HUD what your desired PO2). To make these changes only requires a couple of button pushes. The rest of the time you are looking at the PO2's on the display, deco information and other info like depth, dive time , temp. You also need to know how to switch gases and tell the HH if you want to stay on CC or bail to OC. THis is also very easy to do with a couple of button pushes. If you want to reconsider your options I would offer gettting on the phone with you for a hours or so when you have the electonics in hand to talk thru the menu options and how to set things up. | Re: Wanted: Inspiration Electronics in UK Thanks to everyone for their replies and PM's I'm taking stock of everyone's opinion before rushing in to anything and the threads on this site are very helpful. I've emailed Kevin several times about upgrading to the Delrin handsets and found him most helpful I'm in no rush as the UK season is nearly over. Actually it never really got started due to weather ![]() Any more advice would be welcome Thanks |
