Evolution wanted

Hi again non-bubblers!

While I am still looking for a classic inspiration I am also now looking for an Evolution with temp stick, tools, ADV, etc. I want one with medium size lungs. Max price with all extra goodies is: 5 650 Euro, that is were my pain level stops, excluding shipment fees. Please e-mail me if you have a unit for sale now. I am located in Sweden.

I know you can get factory reconditioned units directly from APD .. and the units are about 50% of retail

Really? I took a trip round the APD site and could find no reference to reconditioned units. I guess that's not something they'd want to promote strongly when they'd rather sell new. Do you have any more details?

I was at a rebreather introduction class in Lake Land Florida a few weeks ago.. and one of the things that was announced to the class by the the guy who was putting on the APD equipment lecture was the "factory reconditioned unit program" that APD now has. I would call them.

APD don't sell the reconditioned units from their factory in the UK - i have spoken with them today.

I believe that SDS in the US do sell reconditioned units however.

Confirmed; Zoe Cains at APD replied by email to my request and said that they had no such programme. Perhaps they should be encouraged to start one!
