| Re: FOR SALE: Evolution loaded with extras Yes, but in order for this test to work and not affect the results you will need to follow my instructions without reading the outcome otherwise you could alter your breathing and give false results. The way to measure what you need is to get dressed with the thermal protection you expect to use.. If your in cold water that means your drysuit and undergarments..Read this first, dont read beneath the dotted line until after you jotted your results. 1) Measure at your chest level after inhaling fully. Measure all the way around your chest/back at nipple level. Record this measurement. 2) Measure from your crotch to your neck. Record this measurement. 3) Take a deep breath and exhale it all the way until you cant exhale anymore and then time how long it takes you to inhale a full breath until you cant inhale anymore. Measure this in seconds and record this result. 4) This time take a deep breath and time how long it takes you to exhale all the way until you cant anymore. Measure this in seconds and record the results. Ok, once the above has been completed you may now scroll down and see which counterlung you fit in. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, the above is pretty much meaningless. Have a nice New Year!!!! ![]() now measure from your belt up your back and over your shoulder back to your belt.. 110cm or more you need large lungs to have them sit confortably for use.. I'm 6ft, 220 lbs, in a drysuit with heavy undergarments the large lungs fit really nice, but in a 3mm wetsuit they are a little bigger than I would like and a medium would be perfect (but really unconfortable in a ds)...

Or 115cm with street cloth and a belt.Section 4.1 in the APD manual gives a rough guide, but if more accurate measurements are needed, APD has a form that they sent out to all new customers to fill. Then the appropriate size could be selected. Joe, could you please delete the joke from jepuskar from the thread, it creates confusion. Thanks!

| Re: FOR SALE: Evolution loaded with extras Or 115cm with street cloth and a belt. Your right about the 115cm from AP, I don't agree with the suggestion just using trousers and shirt.. I found for cold water divers this tends to suggest more people to use the medium lungs and with heavy undergarments its too small.. Section 4.1 in the APD manual gives a rough guide, but if more accurate measurements are needed, APD has a form that they sent out to all new customers to fill. Then the appropriate size could be selected. Joe, could you please delete the joke from jepuskar from the thread, it creates confusion. Thanks! When I originally measured myself, it would have suggested I use a medium.. Ok for a wetsuit but definately no good for a drysuit with heaqvy garments.. I rather err on the side of being larger than smaller when its close, so I use a little more restrictive limits for choosing the medium over the large.. (also if you need to take up a little of the length on the large you can always move thelungs further down the backplate), to use smaller lungs would require seperating the cl and using longer hoses from cannister to t pieces to move the lungs down the body a bit

| Re: FOR SALE: Evolution loaded with extras Just found in dive room over X-mas, and will include in package if needed... Seeing that commercial handset covers are being offered, I will also include my 1-year-old self-made handset cover as well with the unit.
![]() It protects the handset while diving, yet removable in seconds. And allows the use of bungies as adjustable straps.
