R17108 oxygen rebreather - poss swap for ADV?

Hello,

I have a MLW R17108 which is sitting at the back of the cupboard quiety accumulating dust. Had planned on having a bit of fun with it as a winter project but other commitments means it will be winter 2007 or even 2008 at this rate.

Unit is very similar (identical) to:-

Mine does not have the mask, but it does however have the disposible scrubber cartridge which appears to be steel.

note that as used with a mask the 'DSV' consists of a cap that screws on while the mask is not attached - I suspect that this may not catch on for underwater use....

The oxygen bottle is 2L small cone but I am considering hanging onto it for myO2 first aid kit in which case I will change the valve and leave original with unit...

Might consider a swap for a ADV - (either an Azimuth model or would prefer a dolphin unit) or may consider other Azi spares...

Not likely to be viable to post overseas so UK only (nr York)
