God that must suck if he really did buy it and not know it was stolen.

How does the law work in cases like that?

Ignorance is no defence, receiving stolen goods simple as that. My freind baught a car that turned out to be stolen. 6K for a range rover. They just reposesed it and left him 6k down.

Come on who buys a CCR from a car boot sale? I hope the coppers can take 5mins out from issuing speeding tickets to actualy bother investigating this. However sadly in my experiance they couldent give a toss.

If he bought it & got a reciept(not likely from a boot sale ) then it is his
It happened to me with a stolen lorry that I bought from a main dealer ! when the police caught up with me they checked I had a receipt & that was it end of story good bye .Even checked up with solicitors & the road haulage assocciation as well

Hi All,

I have been keeping quiet about it as I didn't want the guy to go to ground. However, as the auction is about to close, thought I would make it know that it is not a 'kosher' unit at all.

Thanks to all of the users, dealers and potential users who have all been keeping me and the police informed... sad though it sounds, if I am not able to recover it, I hope it ends up down the tip in many pieces...

Will let you all know the outcome...

are you sure tha is your Rebreather?.

I know the guy that is the hig bidder. Live in Spain and he thinks fly to England in the next days to pay and return with the Submatix to Spain. He at the moment don´t know nothing about that the Submatix was Stolen. I just recieved a E mail from him. what can we do?

Yes, categorically I can say that is the unit that was stolen from me 2yrs ago.. please advise your friend that it is a stolen unit and to staty well clear. The police and ebay are fully informed and dealing with it...
