Drager Dolphins FOR SALE

Hi members

To help out a mate, I am prepairing to sell 2 x Drager Dolphin re-breathers as part of a general batch of expedition diving gear. They are both:

Drager Dolphin Rebreathers. Brand new, never dived. Still in original packaging.

Each package includes:
Oxygauge PPo2 monitor(needs a cell and batteries)
Plastic flight case.
4lt steel cylinder (stamped 2001)
3lt alum bail-out cylinder. (stamped 2001)
32%/40% 50% nitrox valves.

I am not sure of how much to ask for them, so would be happy to receive advice and any offer that we can't refuse.

Hi Mal,

not that I'm interested in the units, but a couple of things you may want to clarify for people that may be interested...

Location, your user profile just states "Adelaide"...
I gather from your profile, being ADAS qual'd, that you mean Adelaide, SA, Australia?

Where are you willing to ship them to?

Cylinders, I gather they are stamped in oz? with burst disc's? or otherwise?

As far as price, the bottom fell out of the dolphin market a while ago... new ones are around the 7k+ mark from any Aquanaut dealer :-O so no-one is buying them anymore... (for reference, I was a draeger dive dealer in Adelaide in 2000, we were selling them brand new, in box, with everything you've mentioned for under 5k)... 2nd hand ones I've seen go from anywhere between 1500 and 3k... the 3k ones being brand new never dived... there just doesn't seem to be a demand for the here in oz since Aquanaut took them over, and stopped all marketing and support for them...

Re our location, Yes, we are in Adelaide South Australia and yes, we would ship the units to anywhere in the world, (at buyers expence). Even the cylinders can be shipped, as we would simply remove the valves from them for safety.

The price of around A$1,800 to A$3,000 sounds about right to me, so if anyone is interested please get in touch.

The Dolphin units would be a great first step for a diver getting started in the rebreather arena.

Yes, we will ship the Dolphins anywhere in the world, (but naturally pass on the cost to the buyer). I am due to collect them soon, so will be able to post more info when I get to inspect them personally.. It looks like A$2500 is the going rate for these units, but right now I can't yet even take some pictures to send you
