| Re: F/S New Meg less than 2 hrs on it Yeah tell me about it, I think Leon was surprised that I left the class, but I didn't feel great to start with, So I'm going to work on a few issues and get back on the horse later this year into 07 |

| Re: F/S New Meg less than 2 hrs on it ...I think Leon was surprised that I left the class... WOW! So you were only diving it for an hour during your Meg course ?It is up to you, but perhaps you should give it another chance. Based on my experience, most students find it most difficult during the first few hours (if they have issues). Then it just click on, and everything goes perfect. Having said that, if CCR is not something you expect and don't want to pursue, then don't try to save a few dollars and put yourself in danger.

| Re: F/S New Meg less than 2 hrs on it Yes, I've already heard shit from a few people saying I was I pussy, but something didn't feel right, once I get the voice in my head its hard to push on. Going back to OC, getting all my skills to where they need to be and taking the class again is the best bet. What didn't help was diving with a bunch of SCR divers who had no problems, and Leon yelling BOOM!! and OPEN DIL FLUSH just was too much for my first dive, hard for me to admit and harder to leave the class after only 2 days, but better than getting pulled out of the water because I F'd up. |

| Re: F/S New Meg less than 2 hrs on it I hated the first 3 days of my course, infact only persevered because I'd paid for it and was on holiday on my own so nowt else to do. If I hadn't been doing it on a one-to-one basis so progressing at my speed and without distractions I probably would have walked. Now of course I'm thoroughly converted and talking about doing all the things I swore I never would, like trimix and playing with my unit. If your mind is 100% made up then so be it, but I would give it another chance in a quiet environment one-to-one with your instructor before you flog it for good. Mary |

| Re: F/S New Meg less than 2 hrs on it you have golden balls and a solid path to self preservation. I would hold your head up high as you my friend have done what some should have done yet lacked the intestinal fortitude to follow through ( listen to the little voice ). I nominate you for a anti -FIGJAM award. Have some green !!

| Re: F/S New Meg less than 2 hrs on it I understand your dilema and If you felt unconfortable walking away was probably the smart thing to do.. That being said totally giving up might not be necessary either, You might be better off with a one-on-one with another instructor that might take a less military like approach and mentor you through the process, gradually allowing you to progress over time instead of a concentrated program all at once.... as you gain confidence, you'll be able to handle surprises much more readily..
