CCR Megalodon for sale

Hi list,

My dive partner Michel Hanus which is not on the list came to the final resolution to cross-over to the "Boris". In this case would like to sell his Meg. The unit specification:

Megalodon complete (3 ltr. steel cylinders, wing, 1 st.stages, 6mm SS bacplate, TMG)
Shearwater electronic (6/2005)
Black main can
Axial canister + NEW Cis Lunar canister
Nylon CL's + Neoprene CL's
ADV
Mixed gas bypass on both sets
O-rings, spare kit etc

Excellent condition – fully operable! Price for package: $12.000,- or equivalent in EURO.

He will sell the unit worldwide to the Meg certified diver or with the Instructor testification of planned training. Personally will inform ISC accordingly. I think i may have interest-need guidance to training here-long island ,ny area. can the shearwater electronice be upgraded to the (what i understand) new deco computer program?

The electronics can be upgraded to the current electronics. Shearwater Research Inc. offers a $1,000 US discount off the $2,500 US upgrade price.

But the Shearwater package that was sold in 6/2005 already contains decompression. There are a few new features like logging and a bigger LCD, but I wouldn't think there is a pressing need to upgrade them if they are working fine.

bigger LCD, being almost 50 the larger LCD sounds interesting

Yes, the new LCD is nice. It was one of the primary reasons for doing a new version. I don't like having the information scroll or flip. Now you can see all of the important stuff at the same time.

I should also mention that the 3 LED HUD is a big improvement over the 1 LED HUD IMHO.

12k for a used meg seems a bit steep especially converted to euro.

just for fun take a quit check on the ISC price list + the extras + Shearwater + Cis lunar canistr and do a sum

You will get more than 15k for the package!!!
