| Re: E-bay fraud again I urge all who use E-bay to set up your paypal account to draw funds from a card, that way if you get scammed, just flip the bird paypal as your credit card company refunds you the money almost instantly. Well said. I had a similar experience a few years ago buying a dive computer. Paypal wants you to pay with your bank account to avoid paying fees to the credit card companies, so they trick you into it. They even have a screen asking, "Are you sure?" when you pay with a CC. In the end, neither PayPal nor Ebay offer any real protection, despite their claims. This is especially true of higher ticket items. I belive the limits are about $150 for each in the best of situations. |
