After a nasty Judo accident in 1997 they told me Id be lucky if I walked again.

They were of course quite wrong.

Truth be known that after my initial injury I spent 6 months in hospital and 3 months learning to walk again. I too was told to get used to not being able to walk again and was was aiming to plan for a para-Olympic murderball or basketball medal. I was groomed to be 'special' in the military and just couldn't let go of being better than normal people??????.

After many poorly placed insults at rehabilitation professionals, I re-learnt to walk and as far as we are concerned here, a return to 'big' dives. I was a fool and tried to prove my worth by my actions. I am committed to returning to instructing people in the lessons I have learned and hope RBW can help me get through this challenge. I'll be back.
