| Re: Ebay Fraud I have talked with several people who have bought on ebay! If you are legit, as Im sure you are, you might sell it to someone who actualy wants to buy one. I buy on ebay all the time, but you must be careful. Buy the way how much is that doggie in the window. Cheers.... ![]() |

Steve L Just be sure that you list it with a good description, good photos, and that buyers have feedback as well. This way, they are at risk of negative feedback if they give you bad feedback for no good reason. I also tend to give feedback only after the buyer has given me feedback (which has been 100% positive thus far). Also be sure that they are certified (or send it to their instructor). If you do these things, you are less likely to be suspected as a fraud. The major things I look for when spotting a fake ebay listing are: - Photos and descriptions that I have seen before in other auctions. - Private Auction - this is where you can't see who is bidding on the item, which prevents other ebayers who know the auction is fraudulent from warning bidders. - zero or low feedback for the seller. If there is low feedback, I look at who has given the feedback, and what the items were. - Short time as seller on ebay. - Seller unresponsive, or not knowledgable about item when asked questions. - Seller trying to do a deal outside of ebay (canceling auction and selling direct). I hope that helps. Good luck. Aloha, Charlie |

I don't think he's going to have any luck selling it to someone who doesn't what one. And I'm not sure how this person is suppose to FIND someone that wants to buy one. Isn't that the whole point of ebay?Quote: (Originally Posted by catalina_mike) I buy on ebay all the time, but you must be careful. I hope anyone who spends money on the internet knows this.Again, I'm not mocking you or anything. Just trying to understand what you really mean, especially someone who is having success on ebay (this is an assumption, I know). I'm getting ready to sell a few scuba items myself but have never sold on ebay before. Just wondering what kind of time I'm likely to get from this crowd.
