To cheep ybod on ebay item number 7227734014 auction ended 18-3-06 I lost the Rebreather by 500 pounds but now have the chance to buy at my max bid price three outer bidders were above me
It dose not look right all so unit claims to be 3 years old but hand sets are not backlit am i missing a bargain or getting coned seller did not respond to ask sellera quersion item is in London seller has Belbium base or was this a Dutch auction

A penny for you thoughts

If the Unit is three years old it should have back lit handsets. Ask if you can collect in person and take the cash, this usually sorts the men from the boys when it comes to cons.

Ask for the serial number and give them a ring at the factory - you can then cross check ownership etc

In any case your best bet if buying a used unit is to get your instructor to take a look at it first hand if your not sure, because the guy might have a unit to sell, but it doesn't mean to say that it's in good nick. Better still if you can try it out in the water first. When i baught my unit second hand, i tried it in our local pool firsthand, then i made a mate of mine try it so i could check it externaly as well...

The person selling this YBOD on ebay is the same one that was selling a MK15 in december. That was a con.

I wonder if these twats that keep trying to scam with rebreathers on ebay have ever got a sucker. It would seem unlikley to me, but damm they are persistant!

What realy pisses me off is the Police do noting about it. Surley this is obtaining money by deception and we are talking 1000s here.

It would be nice to see some criminals arested

We tried to destroy one by hitting it with a hammer... we succeeded but we really had to hit it hard.
