Once you prove that you are certified for CCR (and trimix, respectively) on the O2ptima, then they will give you or a designated instructor the PIN. Thus, there is no problem selling this thing to someone who is not certified on it. |

| Re: Never wet O2ptima for sale It also means you can't use 21/35 as a diluent without spending another $1500 on the second class. From DiveRite's written policy on second-hand sales it could be construed (by them) that only you have paid for and thus are entitled to the PINs (they disavow all responsibility and warranty for anything made/marketed by them which is purchased second-hand.)

Dive Rite is happy to supply the PIN's to subsequent users or their instructors once liability releases and proof of qualification is supplied. This provides liability protection for any secondary market seller, as well as Dive Rite, and also allows Dive Rite to be able to contact the owner of the unit should any safety related issues arise. It also provides some reasonable level of safety that the unit would not fall into the hands of someone unqualfied to use it. |

I think the seller should get that "warranty registration" in writing - from DiveRite, not from one of their dealers. Why? Because that is not what their written and published policy, which was cited in the last thread on this, says. "It's important you understand that, for these reasons, Dive Rite cannot provide warranty coverage for items purchased from other than authorized dealers."Cite: http://www.diverite.com/Dealers/dealers.htm A dealer cannot bind DiveRite; the OP IMHO needs to get confirmation in writing from DiveRite that the warranty on the unit can be registered and that the PINs will be provided, since there is no other way to get them! Without the PINs you have a box of parts - not a functional eCCR. I wish the tek the best in this sale; I'd be a buyer but for the PIN issue, as I've said before. Sorting out the PIN and warranty issue is going to be important for a buyer, and IMHO this needs to be done via a written document from DiveRite lest someone get a nasty surprise.
