| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Submatix SCR on Ebay - Seems pricey? 3200 quid I have one and it is now converted to MCCR with a Hydrogom valve. The total conversion from the 100ST to the MCCR cost me about £500 so accounting for the original purchase price of (£2895 +VAT = total £3400) £3400. I think that the owner/seller is being a bit optimistic but who knows if it has only done 8 dives it is essential new except for the training dives. I would probably sell my Submatix for £4400 in its converted state with all the little extras that I have added. Extras: Flow stop on bailout reg. Padded back for Harness/wing. Extra D rings on wing. Additional closure devices for lid. Uwatec Oxy2 in inhale hose linked to Uwatec Air Z O2 P-port connector (port and plug) for second O2 monitoring computer. This is still under his original purchase price. Can't see where he got that from! BTW: I have an Inspiration Classic which I use as my primary Rebreather but the converted Submatix is a much lighter unit - even lighter and more compact than an Evolution. | Re: Submatix SCR on Ebay - Seems pricey? 3200 quid Thanks guys for the references to the webpages, So am I basically right in thinking the submatix is lighter weight and more compact than comparable draeger SCRs hence the elevated price - 'Designer Label' Submatix vs Dolphin like Alfa Romeo vs Mondeo? |
