New Optima on Ebay

Spotted this on Ebay. Brand new Optima from a non-certified diver. Item # 230317795326. If I needed a second one, I would jump on it.

Looks a bit suspect. It states that he is selling an "Optima FX" rebreather, but if I'm not mistaken the cover in the photos looks like an original ("Classic?").

It's an Fx Cover.... If it has the Delrin Handsets it's a good deal, with all the extras.

I got him to send me a pic of the handsets. My expert says they look like Classic, not FX.
He sent me what looks like a stock pic. They are silver in the picture.

I would simply ask for the serial numbers of the wrist units and confirm it through diverite before giving anyone any money... Further I am sure that there is a local RBW type that could help with a face to face visit... It has been done before...

Actual it would be worth to see how close he is to Joel at TDL...

I am suspicous of the ebay item. We asked for a picture of the handsets and the guy sent us a picture found off the internet and not a picture of the actual handsets. And if the picture was legit then it is definately not an FX. They were the metal handsets not the delrin.

I would not pay the 5k without further confirmation.
