Prism for Sale or Swap

G'day all,

I am moving to the UK shortly so I am selling my unit, Prism number 007. The unit is one of five that were produced with a clear head to enable instructors to demonstrate the inner workings to students.

The head has two repairs where the previous owner Karl Hall did some damage, however these have been fully repaired and do not affect the operation of the unit. The unit passes all pre and post dive checks including positive and negative checks. I regularly take the unit to depths up to 65m and have had no problems (other forum members will testify to the diving history of the unit). This was the rebreather Karl used to complete his Cocklebiddy push.

It will be supplied with stock mounting plate, wing and harness. In addition a stainless steel mounting plate is included for those looking to use a backplate and wing.

I would also consider swapping for a Classic Kiss or similar (but not a Sports Kiss).

Photos are provided below, pm me with any queries.

I have just received three new cells, one of which has been put in the unit.

Price is $5000AUD.

The grey line on right side of the head is where repairs were made.

Spares included with the unit include a solenoid, seals, cell loom, calibration pot and all else as shown.

The Clear Head is rare. I only know about one other, Glens unit. Peter, made a few clear and a Blue, the rest are Black. The grey repair is not a big deal, I have seen other units have this and there are no problems. The last used Prism sold a week ago In 24 hours for 6000. The price your asking seams fair.

He made four clear colored ones, amber, red, green and blue.
The green one used to belong to the guy who does the electronics for Pete
and is featured on his PRISM Topaz web page. It was shown at the IANTD booth at DEMA a few years back. The blue one which looks quite nice belongs to one of the instructors (like many of the clear rigs) in L.A., there should be pics of it in the gallery.
