FS: Inspiration Hi all, The time has come to sell my baby. I've had the unit 6 months, and unfortunately just haven't been diving it enough to justify the value of it sat there when we need to pay the bills. AP Inspiration Classic rebreather New in 2004 Approx 120hrs use 22.5kg wing size Fitted with ADV and shut off valve. O2 & Dil cyls will need servicing in Feb 09 O2 cylinder was done 6 months ago. Full lid service & repairs costing £735! 6 months ago including the following: New coax loom (£188.80) New coax cells (£171) Full electronics service (£376) 2 new electronics module (due to back lit LED failure) Inspiration rebreather box All tools originally included with rebreather: Intermediate pressure gauge Lid tool for removing 02 cells Hose end tool O2 sensor connector Canister o-ring kit Buddy clean Padded handset cases 20kg of Sofnolime included. Will only sell to qualified persons or you'll need to sign a piece of paper to say that you're not an idiot. I'll ship it, but you'll have to pay for it. Payment: cash on collection or bankers draft Unit is in the UK - Hemel Hempstead right now, can easily arrange viewings in Birmingham and West of London. I bought it 6 months ago for £2,750, and there's more lime and other spares with it now, so would like £2,650. I don't want to get into a massive why am I selling it thread, but basically as you can see I've managed 20 hours in the last 6 months. I have far too many commitments outside of diving to keep myself current and to justify the cost of doing a Mod 1 course for it to be honest. I'm not giving up diving, but I am going Open Circuit. I firmly believe the Inspo to be the most reliable easy to dive unit with a massive number of users worldwide, and bought it because of the ease of getting hold of spares in the UK and the fact that almost everyone I dive with uses one. As it is I've never needed a single spare part, the unit has never failed a positive or negative test, and hasn't missed a beat once. Please feel free to PM me for photos, serial numbers, more history and details of the unit. I am happy for suitable rebreather instructor or third party locally to check the unit if it is being shipped long distance, there are no issues with the unit but for peace of mind this is no problem. Digs.

Re: FS: Inspiration Lungs are Medium, harness is a stainless backplate and harness, adjustable to fit any user. I can get an AP harness to go on the unit, any size you like, but frankly all you'll do is put a stainless plate on it same as the rest of us ![]() Digs.

Re: FS: Inspiration After lots of interest but no-one putting cash in my hand, revised price of £2,300. Any inspection welcome. This unit took months to find but I'm going back to OC and it's just going to sit here for weeks if it doesn't go. Someone else might as well enjoy it. Cheers, Digs.

| Re: FS: Inspiration ...or you'll need to sign a piece of paper to say that you're not an idiot. It's amazing how hard it is to get people to beleive it even when I do sign. ![]()

Re: FS: Inspiration Just to say, if anyone is put off by the medium counterlungs because they want large lungs, I've got a set of very good condition large counterlungs that I'd swap for a set of medium lungs. They are in reading but as long as it's not 29th June- 6th July (I'm in Scapa) I'll drive them up to Hemmel for you. Simon A
