Seaflix is an unknown quantity at this point
Cis Lunar MK 5 Ser #003 for sale

Recently serviced and in pristine condition. Includes hard to get military black shell, integrated wing system, off-board gas connectors for O2 and diluent, dual straps for aux off-boards (I use 30 ft3 cylinders), spare o-ring kit and other essentials.

Fantastic deep diving rig. I have logged numerous dives to 150+ meters on this rig with Richard Pyle. Needs a good home for active usage.

Make offer

The Flesh is *so* weak....

After an agonizing 5 second thought process, a carefully deliberated decision was made: It's coming to the LDSOH.
I'll never get another chance to have one, and it's always been an object of desire, so... what the heck.

The good news is that it's black, so I can still make fun of "Yellow Rebreathers"....

OTS Counterlungs... Wow. I never thought I would own a set.

I think I need a beer, but now I'm too poor to buy one. Maybe a kind stranger will take pity on a thirsty traveler.

You ought to be ashamed of yourself.
Congratulations ... ... gas injection block ... no valves in the bags ... ...
they're just asking to be reversed ... ... a MK-5p with rear-mounted lungs.
Another Sutton First.

Oh, how the mighty are fallen. Mere days after stating you'd never own unit that had them.....

Will there be a tear-down? I've always wanted to see one of these in detail.

Enjoy the unit and the envy of everyone who doesn't have one!

Cheers,

Just wait until he gets that black-lidded Evo from DEMA because the MK-5p
is just too damn big and heavy, and the unlocking codes drive him nuts.

Re: Cis Lunar MK 5 Ser #003 for sale

Yup. It'll be a special rig for special days. Half collectable icon, and half 'best tool available'. Trust me, the rEvo and the Mark-15 will still feature here for a long while.

Even though I am not a fan of OTS lungs..... well.... the CIS is special. It's the only rig I have ever seen that really 'does it all' and doesn't just promise to do it all. The gas block, to me, is the core feature of the rig and I've tried many times to design and build a clone of it to add to a Mark-15, without success. The HUD display is one that is highly optimized, and it meets all of my design desires for indication. Direct MV reading of the cells, bypassing processing, just like a Mark-15. Stone was way ahead of his time, and it's engineered to the nth degree. Even today, 10 years after production ended (simply because it was too expensive), it's still the gold standard. To build it today... $30K? Dunno why anyone says the electronics are dated: They do exactly what they ought to do, and are as tightly designed as anything else ever made (probably the 'Boris is the closest thing electronics-wise). The only 'improvement' I can see making is adding a 4th cell: Nothing is perfect and you guys know how I feel about 4th cells being the best improvement that any rig can get. Dunno where I'll add it though, as the CIS is so tightly integrated.

I'll play with it, and make it available for study and trial-days. We have some nearly 400 foot stuff planned this summer, and this will be the rig for that. Doing a Tear-Down ought not to be an issue. I'll be running 'out west' for a checkout on the thing, and ought to have it on the boat well before the season gets under way. If anyone wants to dive it, let me know and I'll arrange it.
