hi, this guy not being up-front about the condition of the rebreather he is selling. He has it for sale on ebay: Item number: 170145031479. I have asked him a couple of questions but he is not putting his answers on his listing, I wonder why?

these are the questions/answers

Q:hi, what year was the unit manufactured? also if you have just had the head seviced why is one of the hand set backlights not working? regards

A:unit was manufactured 2004 .head has been serviced including replacment wiring loom and new cells but the handsets are sealed in resin when made so cannot be repaired this is what ap told me if you'd like to phone them and check the serial number is 4e252409 registered to me paul weston any more questions please email me

I cant say if it is a legit unit, but the guys gives you a phone number and a serial so you can check te unit with AP. If i was to get a classic and was interested in this unit, i would contact the seller by phone, ask all the questions and see if he would accept COD and local pickup.

i have answered all question truthfuly about this unit if you want to check it out just phone ap tommorrow
every one who has email me about this unit has been told about 1 backlight not working
i have done over 70 dives this year on this unit most of them trimix
the reason i am selling this and the new one i have got ,is i'm buying a meg as i'm now going to venture in 100m+ range
as the unit only came back from ap 2 weeks ago after a full electronics service and the new loom that does not corrode(this is what ap called what they did) and at considerable cost i believe this unit is a safe and good buy
if 1 backlight working was in any way unsafe ap would not have sent it back to me
as for mr adrenalin junkie all i can say he must have a boring life as to go to all this trouble for something he's got no intrest in buying ,get a life
