![]() | Hawaii Rebreather Divers!! This has bothered me for a few years: I was involved in a military exercise back in 2004 and during the exercise my group discovered a very intact airplane wreck off the SW tip of Molokai using sophisticated equipment. I do not know if this is a known wreck. I can get the exact GPS coordinates for this site! If you are a hawaii diver who is interested in checking it out let me know. To recieve the coordinates you will have to have a plan and the proper certification for this site. My memory is a little rusty on the depths but I believe it was between 200-300 feet. The plane appeared to be a low wing design typical of WWII vintage. I remember seeing the picture of this discovery and clearly thinking WWII aircraft design. Maybe this sounds too good to be true but my curiosoty has peaked. This would be an awesome discovery for someone in the vicinity. PM me if interested. Several went down in that area during the time I lived in Hawaii that were not located. (1973-1989). Good luck with your dive!
