Alessandro started to feel some bad sensations around 50mtrs or so and at 40 mtrs experienced a strong vertigo. Thinking about having some problems that might have occurred in his boris quickly went OC on of the Tx35/30 bailout bottles staged on the decompression station. The picture above is taken exactly at the time of bailout.. This action might have triggered an isobaric counterdiffusion in his inner ear or might have worsened his bad feeling... So if I understand well the "bad sensations" are before any gas switch; in the run time at roughly how long into the dive Sandro had those "bad sensations" ? 1) could that be related to a co2 hit with a break out into the sorb time ? then amplified with ICD due to OC Tx35/30 2) or ICD at 50m even on CCR even at cst ppo2 then amplified with ICD due to OC Tx35/30 3) or O2 hit at 50 due to high ppo2 then amplified with ICD due to OC Tx35/30 4) or god knows what ... Simon Mitchell help ![]() Bonne journée Jerome |

To avoid O2 pikes I'm flying down around SP1.2 with low O2 dil to keep ppo2 down when adv quick inGoing up switch nowadays to 1.4 ... at 1.5 ain't gainning much deco time off then habitat at -12m for sure !!! I wish -21m ![]() |

Hi guys,Any issues with feeling of narcosis/co2 from 23mt/min descent speed all way down? Did you descend head up/horizontally/head down position? Did you use small softnolime or large size? 4 mins at 233m - yikes! PS Can I borrow that bell after Jerome? ![]() I have learn this thecnique from Jerome during our dive in St Sauveur 2 years ago, and I love it for the same Jerome's reasons. During the descent speed all works very well for me and in the first 90mt I was faster than 23mt/min then I slowed down waiting my buddies. The descent was in head up position for all the 3 divers and I have used samll size sofnolime! Sorry but the bell is property of "Palombarus Diving Works" and not mine ![]() Ciao Mario

He had vertigo after around 1 hour and few minutes into the dive, according to Vplanner his CNS should be less than 50% 1) could that be related to a co2 hit with a break out into the sorb time ? then amplified with ICD due to OC Tx35/30 first Co2 hit symptoms, from what we generally know from experience, are shortness of breath but from literature you should have also "disorientation" , see here hypercapnia: Definition and Much More from Answers.com and here Permissive hypercapnia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaAlessandro tought right to a problem in his scrubber and switching from a 6/80 diluent to a 35/30 bailout is a big increase in PPN2. I believe it had amplified the problem..may be it was a better option to use his bottom bailout (6/80 or 10/70) 2) or ICD at 50m even on CCR even at cst ppo2 I really don't know...if it was and ICD...I don't think so without a dil change...may be a vestibular hit the amplified by the switchthen amplified with ICD due to OC Tx35/30 3) or O2 hit at 50 due to high ppo2 As I said, according to the planning, the CNS load at the moment of the OC bailout, was around 50% even if they were using quite high setpoint the bottom time was quite short and I don't think this is the case but we are not surethen amplified with ICD due to OC Tx35/30 4) or god knows what ... Simon Mitchell help May be we will never know the exact cause ![]() Bonne journée Jerome Thanks to eveybody Ciao Fabio |

Few questions on the habitat management if you don't mind: - did you guys left boris outside the bell and if so on wich mode ? OC mode or Rebreather off via the 3 cells turn disabeld ? dil On in case ADV need to fire ? O2 solenoid shut off mecanicaly ? or O2 tanks off ? did the Boris make it ok dry to the surface ? - inside the hab: narguile from surface or B50 outside the bell to feed inside divers ? air or low trimix break and how often 20 min or 30 min ? Thanks for taking the time to answer Jerome |

| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Record Dive during Dynamic Dive Exhibition Lago Maggiore Ciao Jer, in the bell we had 50/20 staged out the habitat and the B40 of Oxy came from surface, air brack every 30minutes. We left the Boris outside the bell, on my unit I closed the ox and dil shutoff valve but the unit is on CC, in this way, in case of problem Boris was ready to be used in "quick way"! Opened my unit on surface, it was...very dry! Just an half coffee cup of water in the counterlungs. ![]() I'd like to explore with you GdT...do you remember when 3 years ago you have sent to me the dive plan?! Ciao Mario
