You'll be in trouble if it happens again Luckily for you, taking me for a flight just about made up for it

Thanks for the badge, I needed a new cocaine chopper LOL!

Yes, this didn't exactly do much in the way of deterring me from another trip, strangely!

As per number 4!

Haha, lucky I am extremely stubborn isn't it! The 250lb lift bag was fun, whilst trying not to get killed! The fact that I then got offered a long-term commercial diving job out there was amusing.

Hmmm, I'm not terribly devastated at this!

That's ok, 2 $ to the £ !!

I dunno anything about that, surprisingly more of your equipment didn't sneak it's way into my luggage!!

No, that's dual voltage but now I know I can thrape all the power from the boat on various chargers etc

Seriously, Dave made it a great trip and I would like to apologise publicly for misjudging him and calling him a w*nker last year.

The offer of flying lessons and Porsche track lessons on my next trip isn't exactly working very well as a deterrent for going back very soon!

Hehe....hehehehe!!!!!

Dave, you w*nker, sort out the weather for the next trip!!

I think one also has to wonder about boat captains who try to lure female British divers over there as crew on the boat with promises of imminent scanner deliveries and a very tough job being first diver onto many new marks.

In any case, you should be more worried about female divers plying the boat captain with strong alcohol to force him to agree to crazy dive plans LOL

Ha, watch this space!

EDIT, that W4nker Sutton has managed to buy the last Mk15 that had MY name on it!!!

Like my Cochran that's in your drysuit pocket? Hmmm... wonder what profiles will be on it when I see it again....

As for the Mark-15, it's yours when you come claim it. How's *that* for a lure? "Come and Get It".

The scanner delivery AM is referring to is the new Towfish Sidescan SONAR that will arrive in a few weeks. I need a diver to check out the marks, and I happen to have a very good one in mind. Stay tuned, boys and girls. EXPLORER has a few more surprises in store. Anyone else who can (A) dive reliably solo to 150 metres and (B) is Female (C) has a Scots accent and (D) can live aboard EXPLORER thru thick and thin for 11 days without trying to kill me (or me her) can apply for the job. Good luck!

All kidding aside, AnneMarie is absolutely the best natural diver I have ever met. From deep diving on a rebreather to swinging a sledgehammer under the boat to work a piece of chain out of the propeller, she has what it takes. Some people talk, others just get the job done. AM gets the job done. I'm impressed, and that takes a lot. She's been invited to take a permanent berth aboard EXPLORER as an expedition diver and I'm pleased to have been able to show her the ropes aboard EXPLORER and to welcome her as our new Mate. Welcome aboard! Well Done!

Hello!

Haha, what makes you think you'll see it again!! There's an unwritten rule that anything that crosses the Atlantic makes a new home on the other side of the pond That same rule you appear to have applied to my iPod!! Just kidding, I will send it back with some duels from the deep profiles on it :-)

Yeah the scanner looks fantastic, as does the untapped hunting ground you have planned for it!!

Thanks for the kind words. I certainly earned my deco beer on this trip! See you in July, let the games begin!!! British weather this season is getting kinda tired anyway!!

PS - I *LOVE* being self employed

Trust me, Dude: She's one of a kind. Good luck finding another. If you do, handcuff her and keep her. She managed to be offered a job as a commercial diver here in the first week of her visit. Go figure.

We sparred before on the forums here (she gave me my first red blob, damn her!) so I told her before she came that we would either get along like gangbusters, or be ready to kill each other in 5 minutes. Eleven Days aboard and we're still alive, so.... you figure it out.
