Rebreather divers in Maui My wife and I are heading out to Maui on Feb 9th for 3 weeks of sun and diving . Looking to see if any rebreather divers want to get together for a dive or two? I'm diving a Classic Kiss (wife is still OC) - got about 75 hours on it so far. We are staying in Kihei again. I'm getting tired of diving 34 degree water (today's river dive was cold and only ~1 ft vis)!!!! Looking forward to meeting some new divers. See you soon! Bob Sweeney

Re: Rebreather divers in Maui ...heading out to Maui on Feb 9th...Looking to see if any rebreather divers want to get together...Looking forward to meeting some new divers... I will be leaving the island on 10 Feb... last dive will be 09 Feb AM... looking for good dives on the North Shore... "exploring" with North Shore Explorers, new charter getting set up for... the north shore of Maui.Check out B&B Scuba, shop in Kihei, they will most likely be able to provide anything you need (fills, sorb, etc), including a ride to Molokini, if so desired... Top notch shop, very easy to work with... Hoppyinca ![]()

Re: Rebreather divers in Maui Sorry I'm going to miss you - My wife and I usually do our first dive at Ulua beach just to do a equipment check and have an easy first dive but that won't be until the morning of the 10th. After that we just start going up and down the coast hitting the various beaches. Our favorite shore dive locations are Makena and Ahihi (don't like the walk to get there but its worth it!). I've already spoken to B&B and Maui Dreams, looking forward to dealing with them. On OC we used to always use MDS since we know several of the captains and DMs but they flat out refuse to take rebreathers so they've lost all our business this time. Its snowing outside and 26 degrees, I'm ready for some warm water.... Bob

Re: Rebreather divers in Maui Glad to hear someone had a good experience with B&B. I dove out there with them a few months ago and was not too impressed. They did bring us our EAN tanks as we asked (still on OC) and yelled and belittled us when we asked for an analyzer. The owner was on the boat asking about our diving experience. Which was fine, except everything we told him he would puff out his chest and tell us stories about how he has been down deeper and longer and when we got up to his experience level maybe "he would take us for some real dives." Why ask when you really don't care, save me the energy of talking to you. At least the dive to Molokini was cool.

Re: Rebreather divers in Maui Only a little over a week to go and we have had 2 to 3 feet of snow since Sunday! The snowblower is getting a workout. Looking forward to a warm beach and diveable water. Right now there is no open water, just ice and right now I'm just not in the mood to play under the ice (been there, done that trip).I figure we'll do 2-3 boat dives a week and the rest will be shore dives. Mostg of the shore diving we do is in SW Maui but I'm game for anyplace with a view! The wife doesn't like to dive every day so I'm looking for any buddies who want to get together! Bob ![]()

Bob ![]() B&B is awesome BTW... Yes, I admit I may be biases, what with them accepting my delivery of my spheres and sorb at the last minute because my original recipient had to leave the island last minute...
