| PreNarked ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Oahu update? Rebreather friendly yet? Just wondering if Oahu had any reasonable Rebreather support yet? Looking for sorb 02 fills and 19 cf tanks. Last time I looked, last spring, there was nothing so we decided to go OC . While we could ship a bunch of gear, the 02 fills were problematic.

| Re: Oahu update? Rebreather friendly yet? I can't speak for Honolulu, but Maui is just fine, two Kihei shops do up to 60% (dolphins) fills if you have a rebreather cert card. Maui Dreams (Don or Aaron) and B&B Scuba both in Kihei. Maui Dreams is just starting O2 fills above 60 if you have advanced EAN and I belive B&B does technical gas as well. Hope this helps.

I asked about Oahu because I will start to travel there on business. I wish I had a choice of islands, but alas Oahu it must be.

| Re: Oahu update? Rebreather friendly yet? Just wondering if Oahu had any reasonable Rebreather support yet? Looking for sorb 02 fills and 19 cf tanks. Last time I looked, last spring, there was nothing so we decided to go OC I have buckets and buckets of Sodasorb and tons of O2! I'm happy to help Rebreather divers at my cost. I get 02 for about $0.40 per cubic foot and Sodasorb for about $120 per bucket. I live 15 minutes from Waikiki and have a booster pump. If you get really lucky (Meaning I have time and I like you), I'll take you out for a dive! . While we could ship a bunch of gear, the 02 fills were problematic. I do have 19 cf tanks (aluminum and steel Inspiration tanks), but I need to decide if I want to loan them out.Alternatively, See in Sea Scuba has O2 and a booster pump. If you call them (808) 528-2311, they can get Sodasorb from me. They are between Downtown Honolulu and Waikiki, very near Kewalo basin. When I travel to and from Hawaii for diving, it is pretty easy to get everything on the airplane. With my Sport Kiss, I don't even end up paying excess baggage charges. If you carry your tanks in your carry-on (valves off) along with your other heavy gear (regulators, etc.), it isn't too bad. Anyone coming to Oahu, feel free to PM me. | PreNarked ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Oahu update? Rebreather friendly yet? Hey hey hey...no need to harp on Oahu. There are plenty of prestine beaches and good diving here (if you know where to look). Didn't come out like I meant it...I have had a great time diving Oahu over the years. The if I had my choice part was a reflection of work...not the island.![]()
