Scotland: July KISS rebreather hard boat expedition

I am posting this on behalf of Steve Millard, it has already been posted on the Kiss and Inspiration lists so many of you have probably seen it already.

************************************************** ****************
This year I'm organising another rebreather trip with skipper/KISS rebreather diver Mark Henrys and his superb dive boat 'Hjalmar Bjorge' in the north-west of Scotland. It will be mainly KISS rebreather divers. At the moment I have eight people confirmed on this trip. There are 2 vacant slots.

The dates of the trip are July 14-20, 2007.
The charter boat is 'Hjalmar Bjorge'.

For more details of the charter boat and company, check out this website: Whale watching, bird watching and Scottish island cruises from Northern Light Charters - http://www.northernlight-uk.com

The trip price this year is £675 per person.

The booking is for six nights/seven days. Mark has suggested that we explore around West Loch Roag, dive up the west coast of Lewis round the Butt then maybe over to the mainland and Cape Wrath. This trip offers a similar quality of diving as St. Kilda but without the weather dependency and some much less frequenty dived areas.

There will be a mixture of scenic and wreck diving at depths typically between 30 m and 50 m. If you are a full-on deep trimix wreck diver then this is not the trip for you. However if you would like to enjoy relaxed quality diving, in rarely dived areas, in congenial company then please drop me an e-mail giving some details of your diving experience level.

A couple of trip reports from our previous expeditions will give a 'flavour' of the planned trip for anyone else still 'thinking about it'

(N.Ireland, 2006 was on Salutay..different boat and no published trip report available on the Web. Good trip, in spite of awful weather...nevertheless.)

Let me know soon if you want to reserve one of the 2 remaining slots for 2007.

Re: Scotland: July KISS rebreather hard boat expedition

I highly recommend any trip that Steve M organizes. Steve and his friends are some of the nicest people I have ever met.

It still put a smile on my face every time I looked at the pictures of the 2002 KISS trip around Oban with Steve and friends.

And Mark runs a great operation as well. The food is to die for...
