| Live-aboard possibilities from Far East in Summer ? Still looking for different diving possibilities this Summer... and still stay married afterward... One idea is to take a live-aboard trip from Thailand to do the WW2 wrecks in the Gulf - while family stays at resort (i.e. Phuket, Koh Samui, etc). If you have recommendation to such live-aboards, please give some advice as I am only familiar with live-aboard boats from Singapore. If you are in a position to organize such a trip, please let me know. Perhaps we could even organize a RBW trip since we already have a few divers in the group. It would be nice if the boats are:

You could try tecthailand.com they are based on Koh Tao and are the only company on that side of Thailand offering any reel Tec to WWII wrecks. On Phuket diving in the summer is only local sites as all liveaboards are out as similan is not good weather. We could organize local diving for all levels on a dedicated boat for rebreather divers logistics are no problem plenty of tanks, zorb, and gas. Might want to check with Andy Fritz, he should know the neighborhood. Just make sure you leave your credit card with your wife when heading that way. ![]()

| Re: Live-aboard possibilities from Far East in Summer ? It might also be worthwhile to send a PM or email to Bruce Konefe. He is a ANDI IT that lives in Pattaya and has been actively involved in wreck and cave diving in Thailand and SE Asia. I will be taking a CCR wreck and Cave class from him in Feb. His RBW id is ANDIBK. He is also listed on the ANDI website IT list. |

| Re: Live-aboard possibilities from Far East in Summer ? Tough one Phi, what kinds of activities are the wife and kids looking for? My son is only 4 so he would be happy playing on a nice resort beach all day. He started to learn to snorkel, so something is accessible would be a bonus.Basically just some place nice and comfortable for a relax vacation. Maldives resorts would be perfect, except nothing but shallow reef diving there...
