| Re: Red Diesel Tax hike Tw*ts the reason I asked is some friends of ours bought a new RIB with a diesel inboard at the start of this season, to bring the cost of fuel down for off shore wrecking. Don't think there going to be too happy as they have been plagued with boat troubles all season, there old boat is going just fine though, well until we blew the motor ![]() |

| Re: Red Diesel Tax hike From my understanding they were stopping the sale of red diesel completely & registered charter boats would be able to claim back all the duty on white diesel ? Usual story of nobody giving a black & white answer from the goverment ! they are not stopping the sale of red diesel to commercial craft.if they did this then how would they stop a commercial boat operator selling white diesel or using it in his car and claiming the tax back. the only way to monitor it is to keep selling red diesel. if the private boat owner gets dipped and is running on red they will get fined same as a car driver would now.
