| Andrea Doria Dates aboard EXPLORER Looks like we have 3 Doria trips and one "Special" deep wreck trip (300 footer) scheduled for Summer 2007: Doria July 21/22/23. This trip is filled, and is being run to set the mooring and get the wreck ready for the following two trips. Assuming that a stray freighter does not take the mooring off, the following two trips ought to be "pick up the mooring and start diving" trips. Open trips Doria July 25/26/27 Doria July 29/30/31 Special Deep Wreck August 2/3/4 Trips will leave at 6:00PM the first day, be on the dive site at dawn the second day, 2 dives that day, one the following morning, depart the wreck at noon, and back at the dock about midnight. 3 dives total, 4 if you want to push a 3rd dive on Day #1. Sunrise is about 5:30AM and Sunset about 8:30PM during that time. I want all divers out of the water by 7:30PM so ya'll can start planning dive run times now... ;-) Boat will be crewed with Captain and Mate. I have asked Dan Crowell, formerly of SEEKER, to come aboard as my guest Captain. I have set the schedule to allow one down-day between trips for resupply, so if we get weather issues we can slide a day. I have set them up so that divers traveling in from a distance can consider staying for two trips or more. I will ask everyone to stay flexable for the dates, as if we end up sliding a day for weather we may push the entire schedule down a day so we get all the trips in. If the offshore weather is crummy but we can stay closer, we'll dive the BASS, Acid Barge, Grecian, U-853, etc., and will adjust the cost accordingly. Weather at this time is generally very good, thus the selection of the dates. Airline travel to Boston will give you about a 2 hour drive to the boat. Airline travel to any of the New York airports will give you about a 4 hour drive. We will be departing from Narragansett, Rhode Island. Rebreather only divers accepted, 6 on each trip. Be experienced enought to not frighten me. Booster will be on board for transfilling gas. I can make local arrangements for your 'sorb, 02, and mix. Gear may be shipped to the boat in advance if required. I will be happy to meet any other logistics requirements if arrangements are made in advance. Boat has loads of electrical power for light/camera charging, etc. Food will be provided on an "all chip in and help cook". basis. These trips are "gatherings of friends", and all we ask is to collect enough to defray expenses. Be a friend and come aboard. Plan to chip in $1000/diver for the Doria trip and $1200/diver for the "Special" wreck. 50% deposits to hold your spot. First 5 get bunks, the last man to sign up gets a piece of the deck in the cabin and a sleeping bag.... (I'll bring a camp-cot for you) Safety First, Ego-Free diving is the rule. The rules are: SAFE + SERIOUS = FUN In that order. Let's go diving! Dave Sutton, RV EXPLORER

| Re: Andrea Doria Dates aboard EXPLORER ARRRGH! The trip is either at the wrong time or I am on the wrong continent at this time. One fine day I will make it. For all the lucky guys that have the time, do it. The boat is nice (especially after one winter of rebuilding.... ) and Dave is a great dive buddy and a very nice guy in general. Have fun Jens |

| Re: Andrea Doria Dates aboard EXPLORER Simon, Hi RandyGreat picture! Where was this taken and who does the model belong to? Regards, Randy Aldo is quite correct, I was there a few weeks ago. I also have a picture framed from the same position as Aldo however as I don't look as good as him in front of a Camera I thought that I'd spare you all. |

| Re: Andrea Doria Dates aboard EXPLORER OK, guys! Then sign up, bring the model, I'll use the Zodiac RIB to stand in for the Stockholm, and we can have a midnight BBQ and Doria-Sinking party. I can see it now: Diver: "I got to the wreck and it looked a lot *smaller* than I expected..." Captain: "Yeah, I *told* you that the END of that gas was too deep....." Still a few spots left, but they are going to go fast. Dave

| Re: Andrea Doria Dates aboard EXPLORER Shameless bump.... We still have a few spots for trips 2 & 3 (1 or 2 spots for trip two and 2 or 3 spots for trip 3, may vary as dates get closer). All logistics are worked out, new compressor is being installed, etc., and we stand to have a great season. PM if interested. We're also running weekly U-853 trips as well as a series of trips to the Bass, Grecian, Acid Barge, etc. Dave
