| Bow Mariner Overnighter July/2007 I am planning a rebreather trip to the Bow Mariner next July 2007, leaving out of Cape May, NJ on the Independence II. The wreck sits in 250 ft of water, and is supposed to be one of the best off Jersey. There are only a limited number of spots available, so PM me or email me for more info. The dates are 7/8-9th and/or 7/15-16th. We are planning for at least 3 dives...possibly 4 depending on conditions. Looking forward to it. Louis Barson adventurescubastore.com delidiver@aol.com

| Re: Bow Mariner Overnighter July/2007 For those of you that may know of the Indep. II, it's an excellent boat with a great crew. Both Capts. are Meg divers. Couple other things on the wreck since I have been on it a quite a few times... 1) It is sitting perfectly up right.. 2) It's off Virgina... ![]() 3) The floor of the bridge is at 160 fsw and the deck of the ship is around 200 or so... With that I have about 10 dives on it and have only found the desire to hit the sand once.. Dive Safe Mark Last edited by diverklondike : 13th November 2006 at 04:14. |

| Re: Bow Mariner Overnighter July/2007 Thanks Mark, I hope you are considering coming. Looking forward to doing a bunch of trips with Capts. Dan & Jay next year. Take care, Louis Barson (also diving a Meg...and yes, I hugged it today!)

| Re: Bow Mariner Overnighter July/2007 Count me in Louis! Either weekend is good, might even be able to swing both. What say we do the S-5 and Northern Pacific while we are down there too? ciao rob |

| Re: Bow Mariner Overnighter July/2007 Hey all ... it looks like there is still 2 spots open for the 7/8-7/9 Bow Mariner trip out of Cape May. This is truly one of the best northeast dives! 200ft to the deck/260 ft to the sand. If I can get 2 more CCR divers than it is filled with rebreathers only. Let me know. There are still 3 spots open for the 7/15-7/16 trip too. Don't miss it. Louis B

| Re: Bow Mariner Overnighter July/2007 So, who can tell me what kind of dive plan would be best to run for a first timer out there? I am on the trip mentioned in this thread, but there is very little information to be found on-line about what's the best tour. I'm getting ready to start running some dive plans, so any advice on what to plan for up to 3 dives would be much appreciated! Sunny

| Re: Bow Mariner Overnighter July/2007 Hi Sunny Thanks, Martin. I did see that. I was kinda hoping for something like, "Make sure you go see the XXX. Its right near the YYY and you get there by ZZZ. Plan for most of the dive there and then come up to AAA to finish it off." Know what I mean? There are only a few pictures and only very topline depth numbers on the web. Know any information like that?Check out post # 2 Mark sums it up quite accurate. I will be out the following week. Sunny
