Hi Peter,
Near Genova you can find some nice wrecks, depth between 40 - 100 and more. write to mail@polosub.it.
They are rebreathers and every mix friendly, good guy, good boat (not inflatable). They are also on the forum.
They will adress you to some others nice spots and dive centers southward.

Best,

Nad

Re: wreck diving in Italy

yo

I am in Sardinia right now, in Cala Gonone. Wrecks here are in the 30 meter range. I met two weeks ago with Mario of Morgan Divers in Galigari, he was talking about wrecks he is diving in the 30 to 120 meter range. Nice guy, two boats, doubles, stages, helium, the works ...

Greetings
Matt

Talk to Bruno at Portofino Divers - Recreational and Technical Diving Center

The best dive center I've ever seen...

Re: wreck diving in Italy

Great info guys. Keep it coming.

About the project. We are planning on staying for a week to 10 days and diving 2 to 3 wrecks multiple times. We will be creating video podcasts and perhaps a DVD, all filmed in HD format.

Time frame: probably April - June 2007. We hope to go live with a new website dedicated to technical diving videos & podcasts early next year.

Any specific wrecks that you can recommend?

PC.

Polo Sub was also in contact with J.Chatterton for an U-Who off the shore of Portofino Promontory, around 120 m.

There is also Tech Dive - Arenzano.

Good luck.

Our plans have been changed. The Italy trip will not happen this year, but the alternative trips aren't bad either .

Well Italy will be still there.
However Polo Sub Genova just opened the second center in Elba Island.
There are some wrecks in the range of 70 and more m.
Great prices, accomodations and staff.

Same e-mail: mail@polosub.it
