Question Where to go in read sea area?

Hi all Rebreather people out there,

I have been looking around the board for god dive centers around the read sea, but cant really find the info i want.
My plan is to go for a week of nice (long/litle deeper) diving, wrecks are all ways nice .
And planing to bring my KISS with HH down there, the things i don´t want to bring is my tanks on the Rebreather, stage tanks and lime.

So my question to you out there is suggestions of centers that can full fill my needs?

/Z

Hi Sannerman,

I would recommend Red Sea Technical Diving - Emperor Divers TEKSTREME pay for the dive package on line it's a lot cheaper that way, they are based in Sharm.

If you want to go and do the blue hole in Dahab try Poseidon Divers – The best Diving in Dahab

How is the Kiss HH I have finally got mine but I am banned for diving for 3 months so I have not been able to test it.

Louis

Another vote for Tekstreme. I've dived with them both shore-based and from a liveaboard, and they were great. Some of the guides on the boats are also Rebreather divers (although they were diving OC when I was there as they didn't realise I was going to be there).

Re: Where to go in read sea area?

if you like wrecks and impressive fish the wreck of the Thistlegorm is by far the most amazing wreck dive i've done, and for me to get excited about a wreck is saying something. What i would give to go back with a rebreather?! Parts of Ras mohamed national park were still quite healthy and beautiful, at least 5 years ago. i spent a month in dahab and by far, Ras Mohamed was much better. the blue hole was pretty uneventful, pretty trashed and quite a treck from sharm... I wouldn't bother unless you just want depth or are already planning a trip to dahab...dated information, but hopefully still useful.

Re: Where to go in read sea area?

Hi,
you are looking for a good diving centre in the red sea. Here I can recommend you the ORCA Diving Centre in Safaga. These are specialized in technical diving like Trimix with OC and CCR. For the BI you can also directly lend 3 litre tanks there. Education in the technical diving will done by IANTD.
You find the link here Tauchbasis Safaga Ägypten Tauchen Rotes Meer

If you have some questions, you can ask me.

Re: Where to go in read sea area?

Sharm - Tekstreme, boat diving
Dahab - Poseidon, shore diving

(Dahab - Don't forget that the Blue Hole is fairly trashed on the inside, but go outside and there is more to look at. Also, you will be shore diving so there is loads of untrashed stuff - just walk a little way from the popular areas and it's great.)

hi Sonnerman

we as a club (atlam Sub aqua club ) have visited and dived the red Sea for 5 times (live aboard ) , in this 5 times we covered almost all the Egyptian red sea from north to south
we do recommend the Emperor divers for there professionalism , cooperation and service for all types of divers ( from beginners to technical) have a look at this link for there variety of boats and trips
Emperor Divers' Red Sea Liveaboard Fleet - from standard to superior
regarding the diving site i prefer this area (click on area 6 & 7 )
Red Sea Dive Sites, Maps and Descriptions - by Emperor Divers

i wish you a happy diving Holiday

regards
