| Rental tanks in Costa Rica for Undersea Hunter Cocos trip Hi, It's a long shot but I'm wondering if there is anyone located in San Jose (or nearby) in Costa Rica who would have 2-4 3 litre Inspiration tanks availablke for rent in December. I'm booked on the Undersea Hunter and am taking my Inspiration, just trying to travel as light as possible. If anyone has any ideas I'd be grateful, thanks in advance. Warm regards, Andy |

| Re: Rental tanks in Costa Rica for Undersea Hunter Cocos trip Good luck. I have been to CR 6 times and never take my Inspo or Evo. Even Nitrox is damn hard to come by. I have never seen or heard of another ccr diver in San Jose or CR. |

| Re: Rental tanks in Costa Rica for Undersea Hunter Cocos trip Best bet is to try contacting the UnderSeaHunter and asking them. Last time I tried asking them about CCR cylinders I think they mentioned they just had 13cf dolphin cylinders - on their website they advertise having bailout cylinders though, so who knows. I was contacting the reservations department so it was a little bit harder to get technical information. Try asking them if you can talk to Avi if he isn't out on a trip. He would be the most knowledgeable. He's one of the captains and has been diving CCR for the past 8 years I think. You may end up having to pack or ship your own. Have fun - should be a great trip! | Re: Rental tanks in Costa Rica for Undersea Hunter Cocos trip I was on the Undersea Hunter in April 2006 and I used their Dolphin tanks on a DecoWeenie frame. They changed the valves to DIN (versus the Draeger ones) and it worked fine. Ask for Toby or another Divemaster. They have plenty of oxygen and scrubber on board, but you definitely need to make contact with a Divemaster and confirm all this stuff is there and waiting. I am jealous. The boat and the diving is excellent. Last edited by devo : 6th December 2006 at 02:28. |
