| I just returned from a weeks diving in Cayman with Divetech and Cobalt Coast Resort. Great vis, 84 degree waters, lots of sea life and as it is low season, no crowds. The folks at Cobalt Coast Resort and Divetech were terrific and very rebreather friendly. They dive Megs, Inspo, and Evo's. Kitty litter, Extendair cartridges, O2 and trimix fills are all available on site. Mike (Evo and Trimix), my dive buddy did a 321 foot dive with Nat. They have tanks available for rent so you don't have to bring your own. However, they do not as yet have 13 cf tanks fitted with Optima valves. I was able to use the inspo 13 cf tanks with a little trouble. I did bring my own bailout regs. | Re: 50th coming I have also been to Cobalt Coast/Dive Tech twice in the last 6 months. They are totally geared up for the rebreather diver, and have plenty of rebreather instructor/dive masters that can act as dive buddy. The reefs are a little bare compared to a few years ago because of the hurricane, but the deep stuff is absolutely spectacular. The other place in the Carribean that I have been to in the last year is O2 Technical on Provo in Turks & Caicos. They are rebreather friendly and the diving is great. A little longer boat rides than Grand Cayman, but the diving is also great. I think you would be happy with either location.
