Hi everyone! I am planning on taking my Meg on a trip to Akumal, MX Sept. 23-30 if I can find a shop to deal with. Are there any dive shops down there that rent steel 20's, have sofnolime, and can pump O2? I checked with Aktun Dive and from the emails from him, they don't have sofnolime, tanks, or O2.

Protec can hook you up with bottles, sorb, and the gasses you need. They're in Playa del Carmen. I would also highly recommend Xibalba Dive Center in Tulum. They don't rent rebreather supplies, but they do have a great compressor set up on site (most have to send bottles out to be filled) and they're close to Grand Cenote, Temple of Doom, etc.

Protec are awesome to deal with. They dive,teach,speak rebreather.

Please give us a ring if you are close, we have 13, 19, 20 and 40 cft tanks for rent. Do yo need one or a couple of bail out tanks as well ?. We do fill O2 to 2500 psi without booster and with booster to 3000 psi. Sofnolime we have but I would like to state that shipping into Mexico and importation tax are outragous ... so it is on the expensive side, and as much as you can take and bring yourself will help to keep your cost down.

I have as well a number of battery packs pre-soldered and a bunch of spare parts for the Meg here in the store in case your unit is in need of the good doctor while on vacation....
