We have some friends (not Rebreather types though) who married on St. Lucia- I think they did some diving while there- I'll see if they know anything.but I thought I woudl find out just in case ![]() Brian and I are getting married in Scotland- so even though we wont be diving - that doesnt preclude some "scouting" for a future trip to the UK.

| Re: St. Lucia - Rebreather Friendly? Gene says "I didn't see any operators on the island who had a clue about anything". He also says that they are not very restrictive. He did tell me that Anse Chastenet Resort (not sure about the spelling...) will let you ship anything to them, DAN has a lot of workshop stuff there and they ship things down all the time. Gene and his wife were married there, and they still correspond with the manager periodically- so if you need a name I can get you one.

| Consent Issued! Current Rebreather/s: | Re: St. Lucia - Rebreather Friendly? I have good memories of St Lucia. 1 I met Janet there, now known as "Her indoors" / "She who must be obeyed". 2 And this is the most important one. I did my first ever dive off a beach by the Pitons. Didn't have a clue what was going on, and sucked a 12 litre dry in no time at all....... but that was October 1990. |

With reguards to being Rebreather friendly - i dont know. The sandles resort we are staying at doesnt even have nitrox, so I have to find a store off the resort to get some. Im still looking into the area and what is available, if i find anything out ill post ya. Sean |

| Re: St. Lucia - Rebreather Friendly? I have been diving in St Lucia a number of times ( 3 trips and counting) and you may not find Nitrox anywhere. The island is beautiful & very laid back. The diving is relaxing without much to think about except taking in the view. Stayed at the larger sandals resort where the dive operation is good but they are so used to divers who only dive a week a year that they dont operate outside the box at all. The head of the dive operations for all of the sandals/beachs resorts is Donovan Brown dnewtonb@yahoo.com . It has been awhile since I have emailed him so I apologize if this email isnt current. Have fun. |

| Re: St. Lucia - Rebreather Friendly? I have found the same thing. Geting nitorx is hard and pure 02 non-existant on the island. A buddy of mine just came back 2 weeks ago and said its mainly strait air in alum 80s for eveyone. Some resorts are pretty good about doing your own thing and you can probably ship sorb and gear but I highly doubt you will get a rich mix anywhere! |
