| Hi Having vowed never to do another land based holiday in the Northern Red Sea, I have found myself booked on a trip at the above hotel. I know there are a few Rebreather friendly dive centres in Sharm, but being a lazt git I am going to try and use the hotels dive centre. The question is, can they get inspiration cylinders and lime? I didn't book through an agent and the hotel concierge is being slow to respond, so if any of you have used this hotel, it would be great to hear your experiences. Thanks, Paul |

| Re: Hyatt Regency, Sharm El Sheikh Isn't the Hyatt fairly close the Hilton ? We stayed at the Hilton for 3 weeks last May, and used Tekstreme (Emperor Divers) almost across the street. Tekstreme has the YBOD tanks, 7L stages and sorbs. I believe there is no rental charges as well if you use their boats (plus free O2) ? Aaron, Mickel and Chris are great guys to dive with. They will be able to take you anywhere you want to. And they dive CCR. If I go to Sharm again, I will dive with them everytime! |

| Northern Red Sea Take my advice being living for 9 years in Egypt myself. Go To Emperor "Tekstreme" and get in touch with Aaron or Michael, they are about the best you can get in Egypt! ![]() |

| Re: Hyatt Regency, Sharm El Sheikh Thanks for the replys. I will definitely give Tekstreme a call. Probably should have mentioned that the reason for the land based trip is that my better half is pregnant so the liveaboard got cancelled. Lucky as I am to still get a diving holiday, I need to tread carefully about being out all day on a boat. Thanks, Paul |

If anyone's at the Hyatt on those dates, I'll be the one sitting next to a beached whale in a bikini (meant in the nicest possible way) |

Yes, Thomas canyon is a GREAT dive when you have a small group of CCR divers to boot. You get to the "bottom" at ~92m, turn around and look back up the canyon in perfect visibility and no bubbles to interfere with the view. One of the best views I have ever seen u/w. Another great view that I will never forget is when we went down the wreck infront of Jackson in May with Rob/Natasha/Andy. We were at ~60 still on the descent, and seeing the lifeboat sitting at 90m'ish like we could reach out and touch it. Damn! I miss diving there. And of course, this is like the 3rd or 4th time Dave T went there this year... ![]() |
