Hi Baz, sounds like it will be a great trip, definitely on my to do list. But last time I heard, the USS Lagarto was off limits without permission from the USN. It says the same at the bottom of the Lagarto link page. Has permission been granted for your group? -Andy

You know what, I dont mind people using my pics on their websites ( http://www.thaiwreckdiver.com/lagarto.htm and http://www.techthailand.com/sites.htm ) but when they dont even bother to give a simple acknowledgement then thats out of order.

Anypoo if anyone is interested some of my crappy pics of the Lagarto are here -

G'day Mike .... sorry mate if I offended your artistic temperament, I thought the pic's were Jamie's.

Andy, as far as I know we have booked a trip to dive the sub sooooo dive it we will. Just a thought though is it not in international waters anyway, so only off limits to Septics. A bit like the POW and Repulse being only off limits to us Poms.

Ah ha, now I get it. Thanks for the clarification Baz. Kind of a strange, unenforcable regulation, isn't it? I would think that as long as there's no penetration, it wouldn't matter who drops down for a look see. But I know very little about wreck rules... -Andy
