I flew into TSV Friday lunchtime, and just got home (and I mean... JUST) tonight... wasn't looking too pretty for a while there, the airport closed at 8pm last night, and wasn't officially re-opened till late tonight... My original flight was cancelled. Matt I have NEVER EVER seen weather like what I saw yesterday and today. Words just can't describe what a Cat5 cyclone looks / sounds like! Certainly not something I ever want to experience again... and we were just on the tip of it... Having seen footage from Innisfail, its not pretty. Anyways, back on subject... I've done quite a few trips out to the Yongala (surprise surprise, all dives were cancelled this weekend!) with a couple of the operators, and they really really weren't too keen on the idea of having a breather on the boat. Tubby, or maybe the new guy at Yongala Dive (as referrenced by Jason and MHD) would be your only options. I know Tubby does all his diving off a private boat (hence, can't dive the Yongala, but there are plenty of other good dives in the area...) Good luck with it, and let us know how you go...
