| Unique Opportunity Too Dive Jutland I’ve had some information come in that I thought may be of interest to a few divers on RBW. On the 31st of May 2006 a joint team of International diver’s plans to dive one of the vessels sunk during The Battle of Jutland. May the 31st will be exactly 90 years to the day when the battle took place. What is unique about the expedition is that both the Royal and German Navy will be taking part in the event represented by a German Frigate and HMS Gloucester. The aim is to lay a brass plaque on one of the Jutland wrecks and dedicate it to the 9,000 men that died in the battle. Other dives will be carried out on the Jutland fleet during the rest of the expedition. The diving will take place from the Havgus and divers should be comfortable with diving 50m plus. The cost is €1,400 per diver and this includes: all diving live-aboard accommodation and food for 1 week. You’ll need your own dive gear. Nitrox and Trimix are extra. Travel to and from Denmark is not included The Expedition departs from Thyboren Denmark on 26th May for 6 days diving Due to late drop out’s there are a couple of spare places on the expedition and if anyone wants the details of the organizer then please let me know. |
