| Dude Current Rebreather/s: | Rebreathers in Melbourne, Australia Well, I seem to have a spare weekend in Melbourne in a couple of weeks time, the one with ANZAC day on the monday. Anyone got a suggestion for a Rebreather friendly dive centre? I'll need cylinders and scrubber. Maybe one of the Australians here has a trip I can join. Nothing too deep just yet. Cheers |

There are not a lot of rebreathers in use in Melbourne - yet...Cheers DIS in Ringwood is probably your best bet for supplies. Dive Victoria (Portsea) and ScuttleBut (Queenscliff) are rebreather friendly boats who may know of rebreather divers going out that weekend. I'd offer to host you except I'm in townsville that weekend, and my rebreather is 'in the mail'... Mike |

| There aren't too many Aussies on this board at the moment, try a post on diveoz.com.au, or join and do a post on victech.org. As Mike said, there aren't too many Rebreather divers in Melbourne, mainly due to a lack of a central RB friendly store (like in Sydney and Brisbane), but there are a few enthusiasts that dive off their own boats you might be able to contact using the above two methods. There should be at least some diving going on over the ANZAC day weekend, I'm zipping down to Byron Bay where we are getting a few Rebreather divers together for a bit of a paddle. |
