Sorb availability in truk

A bunch of us are going to truk with D3 from Brisbane in Easter and I was wondering if anyone knew the availability of sorb in truk (blue lagoon is where we are staying). Not sure of numbers but think we have at 6 CCR's going. Am a bit concerned whether there is enough sorb on the ground for the trip, or whether we are better off planning to take sorb with us for the week.

Contact with blue lagoon has been not very clear on sorb availability. Believe o2 and He are both fine, but haven't got a clear answer on sorb

All info appreciated

Matt

I still have 12 kegs of Grace Sodasorb left over from last years trip, and just arrived 24 kegs of MO Pro Sofnolime. This next week I off with a group of 16 ccr divers will be at the Blue Lagoon. What we do not use this trip, will go for a planned Truk and Bikini trip in 07 - hope to do a RBW sponsored trip...

I'm sure there should be some available if you pm me.

The resort has oxygen, although they said they did not have helium so I shipped my own cylinders of He to the Blue Lagoon resort.

In addtion I shipped another 30 onboard dil / oxy cylinders in 2 / 3 Ltr. as well as offboard oxy / dil bailout bottles equipped with stage straps.

With Continental airlines cutting our weight from 70 lbs. per bag to 50 lbs. per bag it is a challenge, having the cylinders and sorb on site saves a lot of travel weight.

One big factor I found with ccr travel especially Truk is that the cylinders that I have there are alread filled, saves much time to get a group up and running.

I know there are several nice liveaboard at Chuuk, but with the kick butt bottom times that we are getting 2 dives a day is all I can handle, after all a guy has to save time for the nice outdoor bar BL has overlooking the water

will post a trip report after we return on March 20th.

enjoy

Deep Thought

Jason

Sorry no, I'm nursing a Crown Royal and ice thanks to Mel and thinking it's way past my bedtime....

We leave on the 7th, and I'll be here doing an IE and enjoying the sunshine. Don't tell anyone but I may be diving O.C. borrowing Curt's gear as I don't want to get my Meg wet for the plane ride out.
