France Attacks America (Optima versus MEG)

Many of you have been following ad nauseum (or not) the battle between the Optima divers and the MEG divers on my Bahamas live aboard thread. (it’s really more like 2 year olds throwing sand at each other)

The Optima Divers have outnumbered the MEG divers at a ratio of let’s say…. Infinity to one.

Now I am a firm believer that what the Optima divers do with quantity the MEG divers do with QUALITY. So I believe in all fairness that 6 Optima’s to 3 Meg is about equal. (it’s better than equal but you have to cut those titty pink rebreather divers some slack)

However I received this from Dive Rite today wishing me luck on my “OptimaPalooza” trip.

Contained in the “Promo Gift Box” was 10 hats, a large Dive Rite banner, and 24 Stickers.

This in my opinion is an act of war.

Now the package arrived at my HOUSE. So the catalyst for this must have been some one already on the trip. SO WHO??????

Viewing this from a Geo Political point of view I choose to blame the FRENCH.

Why ?? Well….for

1: I can.
2: there are two French men on the trip.
3: in my drunken state it makes perfect sense.

So that narrows it to 2 people, Captain Oliver and EDASQUE.

Many of you know Captain Oliver and those who do know him know why there is no way it’s him.

1: He is a MEG diver
2: He does not give a crap about things like this.

So that leaves EDASQUE

Now before you all run off and say …look at the American disparaging the Frenchman. unlike BUSH I have Proof of the WMD'S

In the BOX was a packing slip CLEARLY IT’S EDASQUE (if you can’t see it you’re an idiot and should not be diving a rebreather, YBOD or otherwise.)

So I leave it to my MEG diving counterparts to help me craft a typical American response.

Oh… and Mempilot and Patipro deserve special thanks for leaving me, Netmage and Captain Oliver twisting in the wind as the only 3 MEG divers on this trip.

Think carefully about your next move. This was just our first shot across the bow. We have a much more powerful arsenal at our disposal, and you are overwhelmingly outnumbered.

Oh, and as you can see, we have soldiers spreading over multiple continents. It is a global movement. We thank the French contingent for a successful mission.

Pesky French, if it wasn't for the fact their cheese and wine is so much better !!!! (& the weather & the top man's bird etc etc ....)
