  | Rhode Island shark dive sunday - 3 spots Hey guys, I have a trip heading out of Narragansett this Sunday the 17th to cage dive with our local sharks. I have 3 spots that have opened up as the result of a schedule change from a previous date. Cost is $300, inclusive of the charter, gratuity, food, and tanks. I realize this seems pricey for a one-day event, but we’re looking at a 12 hour trip with a 50 mile run offshore, so we’re getting our money’s worth, not to mention bluewater diving with some big animals. Objective is to shoot stills and HD video of the event to support a forthcoming article in RI Monthly Magazine. We are also putting together a short film of the event. A secondary objective will be to tag several small blue sharks for research purposes. We will be joined by Dr. Brad Wetherbee from URI, a shark biologist. Dives are shallow (10-15ft) and in a cage.
