| Re: O2 in Oahu Be careful in the Lava Tubes on the North Shore. Just like diving in a cave. Divers die in there every few years. Hmmmm, I think Scott's been in a couple of caves before![]() Sounds like fun!

| Re: O2 in Oahu Hmmmm, I think Scott's been in a couple of caves before ![]() Sounds like fun! The one longer cave at Shark's Cove is very tight. It is a squeeze with an aluminum 80, let alone a rebreather. You basically need to crawl along the bottom, and it gets silty. The cave walls are also very jagged and irregular. There is no place to turn around. I've been pretty far inside, but it's just not worth it. If you want to do cave diving, you are better going elsewhere. Aloha, Charlie

Called IDH when I got here and they didn't have any?Or just get a T of O2 from Air Gas or Air Liquide ![]() Sherm Could you recommend a good charter company that it not a cattle boat? Looking at wreck dives. We are a group of very experinced divers so no baby sitting is required.

Sorry didn't see your reply until just now. You can pretty much charter any boat around here privately including IDHs as long as you are willing to go out either before their first cattle-boat charter or after their afternoon charter. Capt John does a bunch of Rebreather friendly dives, no idea what his number is though. Sorry for the ultra-late reply. PM me if you need more info. |
