Monkey, for once we're in full agreement, as it appears Eric & Scott, your local Meg brethren, have once again left you guys alone, defensless and outnumbered!Heartless Meg/Borg Ba$tards! ![]()

Is there an instructor on board who could train him to the depth adequate for diving on this trip ? Erik,It's my understanding this trip is considered a recreational trip, so I'm assuming they will allow any certified diver to come along, but there may be dives that venture a bit deeper, especially if we do any wall dives. If you're friend feels more comfortable acquiring an advanced certification, it's my understanding that Oliver might join us, and I believe he can probably do that for him. There may be someone else within our group who has active teaching recreational status, but I'm not sure. If not, most of these livaboards have instructors on staff and they can certify him while on the trip. Here's a link to the page within the Nekton Cruises website that addresses the different certifications offered onboard. Certifications

| Re: Monkey's Week long Live Aboard North Bahama's Easy math! Assumptions: - Each diver will do 5 one hour dives a day. - Each diver will consume 4 cf of O2 per dive. - Each diver will dive for 5 days. Total O2 Consumed = #dives x gas consumed per dive Total O2 Consumed = [(dives/day x (# of days)] x gas consumed per dive Total O2 Consumed = (5 x 5) x 4 cf = 100 cf Multiply the 100 cf by the total number of rebreather divers and you should get your magic number! That should be enough, because most people on livaboards don't do 5 dives a day for the entire trip, and even if the rebreathers do 3 longer dives, it will probably still average out being approximately 5 hours logged a day. Also, some of us are bringing our tanks, which will have gas in them for the first day of diving or so, so that figure should already have ample safety factor built into it. That's my $0.02, but then again, what the hell do I know!
