| Re: Check Mate, No GO Mexico!! Mike Hi Bruce,The habitat was almost on its side and filled with water, other then that should be salvagable. I made it to 123 meters without a scooter and made it there just shy of 20 minutes. Is it possible to reach 140 m without a scooter? Anythings possible - but perhaps not wise. at 120m your about half way towards hitting 140m. I have a very very approx sketch on my website that might give you some rough idea (not accurate and not a proper survey -will be doing that next) ADDED: Drmike : photos : Song Hong II expedition (-140m) - Thailand NOV 07- powered by SmugMug To give you and idea for calcs IIRC took me around 30mins+ scootering to get to 140m (well 139m on my vr3) but that did include buggering around with the birdsnest mess for few mins. IIRC deco was something like 6hrs+ so swimming it would be quite a stretch -especially with carrying/staging enough bail gas. For our next push were going back with extended Silent submersion scooters and prob staging other scooters circa 120m (In case of issues with depth like I had last time) 3 Silent subs and a couple x scooters should do the trick, cheers Mike

| Re: Check Mate, No GO Mexico!! Drmike When you started to go horizontal down that passage way, how large is tunnel? Is it possible to see any of the sides? I doubt it if I will ever be able to see it myself unless the numbers comes up right. Bruce |

| Re: Check Mate, No GO Mexico!! Drmike the passage is quite constant in width from the begining. At times I could just about see the other side at other times not quite as its right at the limit of my HIDWhen you started to go horizontal down that passage way, how large is tunnel? Aww no fair, I did once get stuck on a plane at Birmingham the ground crew couldn't get the tunnel thingy to line up with the plane. Was very funny whent he pilot (German) told us it wasn't their fault (had to be there ) best weather last week was up north. If you had to go to Stoney it must of been bad.

| Re: Check Mate, No GO Mexico!! Wow, it shows how little I have been able to read RBW since I changed jobs: I've only just seen this. Sorry to hear of this mess. All the best, Nicholas |
